Windows 7 on the domain
I installed a fresh version of Windows 7 and logged on fine. I joined it to our Windows 2003 domain and when I try to logon with a domain accout I get an error "net.exe - Application Error" saying it can not start. I click on OK and it looks like a black desktop. All I can do it Ctrl-Alt-Del and log off. If I log back on a local acct it is OK. I reinstalled and still the same thing. Any ideas??

Hi,do you have logon scripts enabled for that user? Check the logon script if there is an error in it.GreetingsChristianChristian Groebner MVP Forefront

Hi,there are different ways to do this since Vista/Win7.I prefer to map network drives with group policys.Just use a search engine of your choice and search for vista/win 7 logon script, there you'll find many methods to run a logon script.GreetingsChristianChristian Groebner MVP Forefront
