Windows 7 occasionally logs in with a temporary profile
I run multiple labs at a university and we have installed Windows 7 in a few of them. There is an issue where if you log off one user account and immediately log into another user account, if you log in immediately after a reboot, or you log in immediately after a machine wakes from sleep you will be logged in with a temporary account. This IS NOT a corrupted profile. If you log out and wait a 10-20 seconds then log in again you will be logged in with your normal profile. Most of the time this is not a huge issue, but in some of our labs users will literally log in immediately after another user and get a temporary profile. Does anyone have a solution to this? It seems to be a bug to me.

I suspect that this issue is related to the network connection. The network connection may be not recovered after the computer starts or resumes from Sleep Mode. I suggest you change the following policy. Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon to the computer Please enable this policy. You can also consider upgrading the network adapter drivers for client computers. Arthur Xie - MSFT
