Windows 7 not responting to other computers in the network
I have a small net work, and, for unknown reason, my computer does not respond to others computers in the network. It is visible, in the network, but does not respond requests. if I ping another computer, I have the expected results, as follows: Pinging HeadNode.hpc.Form4D.local [192.168.3.1] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 192.168.3.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128 Reply from 192.168.3.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128 Reply from 192.168.3.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128 Reply from 192.168.3.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128 Ping statistics for 192.168.3.1: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms Now, I can remote access the pinged computer, and, from that computer, I can access my computer, through windows explorer, but when I ping my computer, I have the following results: Pinging BEE01 [192.168.3.101] with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Request timed out. Ping statistics for 192.168.3.101: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss), I have a small render farm, and this is causing serious problems when rendering. Please, any help is appreciated, Lucio

Sounds like the Windows Firewall may be blocking connections. Makes sense that it would work when a session has been established from the host already. Just to see what happens, disable the firewall on 192.168.3.101 and try again.
