Windows 7 not booting.
My relative's computer is not booting. She was instructed to download some type of update in order for windows (7) to work correctly. Now the computer shows it is downloading the update but then the screen goes blank and even the desktop is not visible. Any suggestions to this issue would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks, I will try that. But what do I do when if I can restart in safe mode?

I apologize for the incomplete ans. Safe mode is usually used to run diagnostic tools manually and computer repair. The most convenient step you can tryis boot up the computer, press F8, and select Last Known Good Configuration. If that doesn't go thru, then pop in the windows 7 cd installer and do repair computer. It will automatically run all diagnostic tools and then repair the computer accordingly.Xania's Short Notes: http://xaniasabrina.wordpress.com/
