Windows 7 mail
I have looked, but cannot find a setting that will delete the emails from my isp when I download them. Where do I find this setting? I tried what I thought was the setting to do this, but it leaves them on my isp. Then when I logon to my email from Vista ( I run a dual boot system with Vista and 7) it re-downloads them, and THEN deletes them from my isp. Doug

I suspect thatyou delete mail when closing the program on Tools > Options > Maintenance Tab.If so,go to Tools > Accounts > Mail [mail account(s)] > Properties > Advanced Tab > Delivery and put a check in Remove from server when deleted from Deleted Items.

This is the setting you're looking for:Tools > Accounts > select account > Properties > 'Advanced' tab > uncheck 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' > OK > Close.HTH,Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
