I tried setting up a lan going to a computer running xp. The problem is it onlyworksone way. On thexp computer i can look at public files on the windows 7 computer, but i can't look at shared files on the xp comp with windows 7.when i try to justpops up witherror sayingNetwork Error, Windows cannot access...,You do not have permission to access...Anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

Just had the same or similar problem, the main problem seems to have been needing an error check on the drive where the shares are, so right click drive and schedule an error check, restart, you may see many repairs happen. When back in windows, right click the shared folder, click security tab, edit, add, type "everyone" in the space. ok, full permission, "replce owner on subcontainers and objects" for everyone, ok, right click the shared folder again, sharing tab, advanced sharing, tick share this folder, with everyone with full permission.
