This Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool will update irregularly when there's any important security update. The latest update is on April 12 2011. So it's normal if you see KB 890830 at different time.
Please refer to the following for the detailed information.
The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool helps remove specific, prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008,
or Windows XP.
If you have any update error, you can check the CBS.log under C:\Windows\Logs\CBS. You can also upload the logs to your
SkyDrive in a publick folder and provide us with a link, then we'll check it.
