Windows 7 install network share printer
Hi I am testing Windows 7 ( New Costumer), when I install about 90 network shared printers, I get a error 0x0000007e , cannot connect to printer. Print Server is Server 2008 sp2, 70 drivers about 300 printers for 32/64 bit. Is it a upper limit for devices in Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. If I install more than 90 printers and use CMD: wmic printer where "Local='FALSE'" delete, nothing happens. MogensMogens Grimshave Christensen

Can you install the printer manually from the workstation? if so, then you don't have a network connectivity or permissions problem. In that environment, I'd be deploying the printers using Group Policy.

Hi It works fine (Win 7 32/64) with local and shared printers untill I have 91 devices in "Devices and Printers", then it fails. Seems like that machines stops working, "Devices and Printers" wil not show Printers and devices, if You try to delete printer from command: "Local='FALSE'" delete, nothing happens. If I use print management from the print server I can delete printers on the client, and Devices and Printers vil work again. Mogens Mogens Grimshave Christensen
