Windows 7 in SBS 2003 domain - command line box at login asks for credentials to mapped drives the user has no rights to.
I have a small SBS 2003 environment with mostly Windows XP computers - until now. I joined my first Windows 7 computer to my domain. I have about six network drives that I map in the domain user login script. This user only has rights to two of the drives. When he logs in, however, he gets a black command line box that asks for his credentials to get into the drives he doesn't have rights to. He can cancel the requests and use the computer, but it'sobviously annoying to do this at every logon. To some degree I've had this with the XP computers, but they seem to "forget" the drives they don't have access to. The Windows 7 computer will do this at every login. I unchecked the "map network drives" checkbox in his user profile with the idea of mapping his drives manually. But the command line box persists. I really don't want to map drives based on user groups. I only have ten users and I don't think it's worth it to create groups. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You should modify the part in the script for drive mapping. Only map the drive which the user has access. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
