Windows 7 home premium 64 will not connect to Windows 2003 server
I have an Acer Laptop running Windows Home Premium 64 bit that I am trying to map a drive onto from a windows 2003 server Standard Edition over the internet. I can open a remote terminal with no problems and also access the FTP server on the machine but get the error 0x80070035 if I try to connect directly. Do I have to upgrade the laptop to Professional or is there a fix? We can access the server using Windows 7 Ultimate so we know the problem is not on the server side. I have already added the LMCompatibilityLevel 1 to the registry with no effect, and have turned off the firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Steve

Here's a basic comparison page: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/compare/default.aspx. You can't do a lot of things with Home Premium. William Fearn
