Windows 7 firewall Remote management options
Hello, I saw that Windows 7 firewall has various options to enable/disable remote management and fine tune every single option like scheduled activities, registry, events, firewall itself, services, volumes etc. I want to enable network shares on my Windows 7 Pro without enabling the above "accessories" services, but if I disable the aforementioned options on the firewall they are still accessible from the network, so my choices are ignored. Any idea on how to make it work like expected ?

Hi, Please open the “Remote Event Log Management (NP-In)” for your current network profile (such as Private) in “Windows Firewall with Advanced Security” and select to “Block the connection”, and then enable the policy for a test. Can Event Log be managed on Remote machine now? Thanks, Novak

I have done some tests on various services, but the rule is always ignored and the connection is allowed. The only way to block the traffic is to block "network and printer shares" traffic. Any ideas ?
