Windows 7 file sharing becomes Intermittent inaccessible on Windows XP.
Sometimes using file explorer on Windows XP and pointing to network Windows 7 directory, I get a message “File Sharing is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resources.” Wait 1/2 hour and I can then get a directory of the files and I did absolutely nothing. I haven’t had any problems in getting a Vista computer sharing these Windows 7 directory just the XP. I’m unable to get all the maximum cpu time out of my XP due to the fact it hangs up on an error message until I retry to write to file that loss its file sharing. Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to wait longer. An intermittent problem, any suggestion?

I took the following measures: Windows 7 computer system: 1) Added a computer description which was blank before. Windows XP system: 1) Disable ethernet adapter 2) Rebooted which reestablished ethernet adapter 3) Reestablished network connections 4) Executed the run command and at open form enter \\(Windows 7 computer name)\(Windows 7 computer share directory name) I have ran past the previous high level mark of 11 hours without any problems and consider this case closed.
