Windows 7 error codes 0x8100015 unable to complete back up
I have tried several time to back up my drive and get the following error below "Windows Backup could not create a zip file. This could be because the drive that Windows is installed on does not have enough space or it could be a temporary error. Make sure you have at least 400 MB of free space and try again." I have over a 1 terabyte free on both the windows 7 drive and the destination drive. I have was able to save the drive 2 days ago. Could you please advise? Hi,You can read this thread first, you would find out the some applications having compatibility issues with Windows backup, causing it to fail with error 0x80000015. Following is the list:1. Carbonite backup utility - Disable the utility before backup.2. IDrive applications - Disable the utility before backup.3. StuffIt - As a workaround, remove .zip associations from StuffIt.So, it's better to try unassociating your compression program with Zip files and turning off your anti-virus while running the backup. You can try to make a backup in the Clean boot mode.I hope this can help you. John
