See if this article helps as most talk about installing XP first, then Windows 7 on separate partitions. You'll still need to make a separate partition. http://www.pronetworks.org/forums/install-windows-xp-in-dual-boot-with-pre-installed-windows-7-t104890.htmlMCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Hi Deepak, Could you please help to confirm the following factors? - Where was Windows XP installed? Was it installed in the Recovery Partition or a separated partition? - What are the Recovery Discs you mentioned? Are they the Windows 7 installation disc or recovery disc provided by OEM (original equipment manufacturer)? If you recovered system using the discs provided by OEM, it is possible the whole system was restored to the original factory settings. Therefore, the Windows XP was probably removed from the system. As cdobbs mentioned, it is highlyrecommended installing Windows XP first and then installing Windows 7 to avoid boot issues occur. Considering the current situation, I suggest you contact Sony directly and confirm this issue and also confirm if they can provide anWindows 7 installation disc for reinstallation. Regards, Linda
