Windows 7 doesn't connect to Internet after waking from hybernation
When the computer wakes up from hybernation it can't access internet. When I use the troubleshoot function it starts to work, but it takes some time so it's annoying. It says ''Local Area Connection'' doesn't have a valid IP configuration. Then it says that it has fixed it. I have Netgear WGR 614v7 router and latest network driver. Here is the report: Windows Network Diagnostics Publisher details Issues found "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration"Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration Fixed Reset the "Local Area Connection" adapter Completed Investigate router or broadband modem issues Not run Issues found Detection details 6 "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration Fixed Reset the "Local Area Connection" adapter Completed This can sometimes resolve an intermittent problem. Hi, This issue can occur by incompatible NIC driver or incorrect settings. I suggest you perform the following steps. 1. Uninstall the current driver and install another NIC driver (Such as the driver for Windows Vista instead) in Compatibility Mode for a test. 2. Configure Power Management setting a. Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter. b. Double click to expand "Network adapters". c. Click the "Power Management" tab. d. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" if this option is not grey. e. Click OK. f. Also apply the above settings to the Universal Serial Bus Controller -> USB hub where the network adaptor connects to. If the issue persists, I suggest you also perform the following steps. Thanks, Novak
