Windows 7 crashes when I connect to the internet
Hi, Following is the information in your *.dump files. Mssmbios.sys mostly is the reason which results in the BSOD. You may update your motherboard driver and update BIOS version. Meanwhile, you may turn off or remove the antivirus for a test. Hope that helps.

Thank you Daniel for your response. There is no error other than the crash and blue screen. The crash happens when I just connect to the internet... I do not even have to start a browser.

Also, I ran Ubuntu (through a flash dive) on the same computer and tried to connect to the internet. Internet worked perfectly fine without any problems. So, I guess, the hardware is working perfectly fine. Awaiting your reply. Thanks

My Windows7 keeps on crashing with a blue screen when I connect to the internet. The crash occurs for both wired (Ethernet) and wireless connections. I tried disabling my anti-virus/firewall, tried using different web browsers, using system restore to restore my computer to an earlier state. Nothing helped. Here is a link to my recent minidumps https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=28b982fd067fdd03#cid=28B982FD067FDD03&id=28B982FD067FDD03%21172 Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Cos Unbuntu is run on a thumb drive & you has yet to install Unbuntu onto the partition on the HD, at the same time it could be random. I suggest you to download Avast AV (free version) & next save it on a thumb drive, next boot into safe mode & run the setup & test. Hi, Thank you Daniel and Ivan for your help. I really appreciate it. I uninstalled my anti-virus (ESET NOD32 Smart Security 4) and everything started to work magically. I had previously just 'disabled' my anti-virus. I guess I will have to contact ESET for further assistance. Till then, I am using Avast Free Anti-virus. I really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot.

Just a thought, does it crashes when you're running apps or playing games? Is there any error other than just crash or with a blue screen? Have you try running other browser like firefox or chrome & see if the crash still occurs? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
