Windows 7 corrupt registry question
Hi I have Windows 7 on my laptop and after a recent power failure the internet failed to work even though it was connecting perfectly fine to the internet. I originally thought it was a Dns error as that was what chrome told me. However, after running numerous tests it appeared that a DNS error is not the problem. Instead, the network adapter troubleshooting function in windows 7 told me I had a corrupt registry and that 2 particular ( I can't remember the exact names of them right now) components of the registry were missing. I was wondering if I can fix this problem by simply repairing windows 7 using the backup recovery discs that i originally created. Thanks

Hi Kristry11, Use the recovery disk you made to repair your computer. If the repair doesn't work, I think you need a In-Place upgrade: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2255099/en-us Regards, MiyaThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
