Windows 7 connection Status Indicator in System Tray
The status indicater is that I have no internet access but connection is made anyway on the computer with the incorrect icon and another connected computer (Wireless). How can I get a correct access icon in the tray? I am using Windows 7x64 and IE 8 on both machines.

Is this a Laptop or a Desktop? If Laptop, there are usually two internet connection methods, Wireless and Ethernet. If you are using Wireless then Ethernet may show up as not connect or Cable unplugged. If wired (Ethernet) then the Wireless may show up as not connected.Rich The only two things that are infinite in size are the universe, and human stupidity. Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please boot the system to Safe Mode with networking and see if it works. 2. Update the NIC driver. 3. If possible, please also upgrade the router’s firmware. 4. In addition, if you have multiple connections or network adapters, please disable all the items which are not necessary and left the one which is in use to have a check. Hope this helps. Thanks.
