Windows 7 computer refuses to connect on wlan using WPA2-psk, but works OK with WEP open code
I have tried everything for several days, but am not successful. My new computer using Win 7 refuses to connect to the router, Zyxel P660H-D1 when I am using WPA2_PSK. Its OK when I use WEP open code. However, I can enter the computer from another computer on a home group to which both computers are connected even when the WPA2-PSK is on, so obviously the wireless connection is OK. I was wondering if it has to do with the Zyxel? I understand that there is no available software for Win 7 for this router. Could this be the problem? Most grateful for any help.

Does your wireless adapter support WPA2? Try downloading the latest driver for your wireless adapter and check for any firmware updates for the router. Jerry

Thanks Jerry for your kind attention. I took the computer home (it is normally used in a museum) and tried it on my network here. It worked perfectly after I had entered the nw key. The wireless adapter has the latest driver, and I have also updated the firmware on the router in the museum. This leads me to believe it could be a problem with the router in the museum not connecting properly to this computer's wireless adapter. Another wireless computer works OK, and so does the host computer which is connected with a cable to the router. I'll try it again, maybe using my router from home, although I am not so keen on moving it. Halvardhasselnoeten
