Windows 7 can see my router but will not connect
Hi, I have a partition with windows 7 RC1 on it and i have installed the drivers needed for all my hardware. After installing my vista 64 bit driver for my D-Link dwa-140 wireless dongle, Windows can see my router with a signal so i try to connect to it and as you would expect it asks for the WEP key, i type it in and it says something along the lines of "windows cannot connect". I'm sure the key is correct, i've tried it numerous times, any ideas? Thanks in advanceRob

I'm in the same boat, only way i can connect in win7 is to make my network public and remove the WEP key.

I had the exact same problem with my Linksys WUSB-600N. You have to make sure your dongle is using the driver from D-Link not from Microsoft. Don't use the D-Link installer as I found my Linksys installer didn't actually install the driver but still left the microsoft one installed. Extract the installer and then use Device Manager to manually update and look for the driver. It worked for me!

Do you still have Windows 7 in a HomeGroup? If you do, get out of the HomeGroup.
