Windows 7 can see domain but not workgroup machines.
I have windows 7 ultimate running on Domain PC with full admin rights. I can see all the computers on the domain. We have several machines that are in a workgroup kept off the domain for various reasons. I was wondering if there is a way to see the workgroup as well as the domain PC's. I have network discovery turned on for the domain and for work and home profiles. I am not sure if I am not just looking in the wrong place for the machines or if there is something that i need to do to be able to se them too.

Not unless your DC has a trusted relationship with them. MCSE, MCSA, MCDST Agree. The computers that are not in the domain should be able to be list. You may access the computers with entering \\computername in Windows Explorer and enter correct user name and password. After you access several times please open Network and refresh to check if the computer is listed.Arthur Xie - MSFT
