Windows 7 can not find USB shared printer direct connected to mac OS X Lion 10.7
I have 5 pc's and 2 printers. 2 macs running Lion and 3 windows machines running XP, Vista & 7. 1 of the printers is direct USB connected to my iMac, and only the windows 7 computer will not recognize it. The windows 7 computer sees my shared folders & files on my iMac, but it can't see the shared USB printer. What did I miss on this win 7 computer? I was able to use Bonjour to set up the printer on the XP and Vista machines, but on the win 7 machine it didn't see the printer. I also tried to add the printer through "add a printer", but it was not recognized there as well. Also, the older printer (HP) is networked and that has been working, for 4 years, with all computers in the house. This new printer (Samsung) works with all the other pc's in the house. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

1. Try connection with firewall disabled. 2. Use network monitor to catch communication while attempting to reach shared printer. Regards Milos

Hi, Please disable the firewall and the anti-virus program to test the issue. Meanwhile, when adding a printer, please ensure you have specify the full path of the printer or using the IP address.
