Windows 7 can't connect to domain servers or group policy or shares
Have a domain with about 200 client computers, 3 servers (two 2008 and one 2003). One of the Windows 7 client computers is using offline files. And can not sync the folder to update. Always 'acts' like it is disconnected from the network. If browse the SERVER only see the offline folder -- don't see any of the other folders. For troubleshooting: CAN ping all three servers by name (DNS is served by a computer in the domain) CAN ping the domain.local name and it resolves properly to one of the domain controllers (a 2008 controller) CAN'T (on this PC, but can on others): run gpupdate /force browse the server unc by name or IP (\\server1\ or \\server2\ or \\server3\); browse the domain share (\\domain.local\sysvol)

Hi, Please check the following settings on this Problematic Windows 7 client: In the Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings Turn On Network Discovery Trun On File and Printer sharing Enable file sharing for devices that use 40- or 56-bit encryption If it does not work, based on your description, I suggest you remove this PC from the domain, and re-join to check if it works. If the problem still persists, please try the Network Monitor to capture the network traffic, comparing the traffic with a working machine, find which step failed.
