Windows 7 bug: Files lost when copying/moving directories on a network share with a Windows 7 machine
I think I may have perhaps discovered a serious bug in Windows 7.I was surprised to see and learn that when ever I am managing my workgroup File server with a Windows 7 (Professional) machine, I am loosing my data. Any time I am moving or copying folders across Workgroup computers or on a single FileSharing Server, only the empty folders are being relocated. If I am moving the folders then I am ending up loosing my files as I just see the resultant folder minus any files which are also not there on the previous location.So far, I had been lucky to have regular backups soI was able to restore but this leaves me very worried. The same behaviour is not possible on my other Windows XP machines. Would greatly appreciate if anybody could shed some info on this behaviour.Thanks
