Windows 7 boot error
When I boot to windows 7, I get a small glimpse of the boot logo, and the screen goes black. I proceed tosee a black and white bar at the bottom of the screen that says, "Windows is loading files." Then the vista boot bar posps up for sme reason, and it pretends to boot. When it is finished, startup repair is trying to fix a problem that it later says cannot be fixed. I tried system resore, (says there's no restore points), I have tried last known good config, and I even attempted to boot into safe mode to see if I can reinstall he win7 boot loader...all failed attempts. I have no Windows 7 disk, as this is a Sony VAIO from a friend of mine, who got this from a friend of his...

Try Repairing The Windows 7 Installation Using F8 At Boot 1a. Insert the Windows 7 DVD or repair disk and restart your computer. Boot from the DVD, press a key if prompted. 1b. Or you can press F8 instead repeatedly at boot and chose "Repair your computer" then go to step 4. 2. Choose your language and click Next. 3. Click Repair Your Computer and then select the operating system you want to repair. 4. Click on the Startup Repair link from list of recovery tools in System Recovery Options.
