Windows 7 backup files - no password protection?
It seems the backup files created using the Windows 7 Backup and Restore can be browsed without any need of a password? The backup is a collection of zip files and as far as I can see no need to provide an identification to browse the files. This is a problem if I store the files on an external hard drive. Am I wrong, would the Windows password be required if accessing from another computer (not tested)?

Hi Guppy49, Thanks for the post! You are an administrator when you create the backup, only the administrator can restore this backup. You can check the permission about this backup file. Even if you backup on an external hard drive. You can still set the permissions for this file.
