Windows 7 backup error
I set up my machine to do automated backups to an external drive, using the option, "let Windows choose what to back up". And I keep getting back up error alerts via the notification feature. It says it could not back up "Windows/System32/Podcasts" there is no System32 folder in Windows 7 that I can see, unless it is hidden. Is there an update that will correct this? It bugs me to see an error message every time I log on. I suppose I could select what to backup myself. But really, I'd prefer that it just work the way it's supposed to, without giving silly error messages. Also, I ran Windows Update, and saw an updated driver for my Sound Max Digital Integrated Audio sound card, I installed it, it installed the driver for a AC97 sound card. I got that corrected, by manually selecting the correct driver, but now my microphone won't work, and sometimes when I'm playing online games the sound is just terrible. I'm going to roll back my driver, but I wish it just worked correctly with the new driver.

Of course, there is a System32 folder in Windows 7 (\Windows\System32), and it's not hidden. A "Podcasts" subfolder is possibly created if you're storing podcasts (it's not there by default). Run an AV scan or delete that "Podcasts" folder, and see what the results are."I think there is a world market for maybe five computers. (Thomas J. Watson, Sr.)

Hi, Please understand that we usually discuss on issue in one thread. At this stage, let’s focus on the first issue. When the first issue is addressed, you can create a new thread to discuss the Microphone issue. Thank you for your understanding. As Sanmartin was mentioned, the Windows\System32 folder is a critical system folder and most of Windows files are saved in the folder. However, there is no Podcasts folder and you can manually remove it. If the issue persists, I suggest you perform a Clean Boot to check whether the error message persists.
