Windows 7 and twain
We use ID Pro 7 id card production software. It requires a twain device for capturing user pictures. We have tried several cameras which claim to be twain and win 7 compliant but when trying to capture idpro reports cannot find twain device. Has anyone got any configuration ideas to help make this work

i remember under vista when you tried to access a twain scanner from photoshop, it wouldnt work unless you started photoshop7the scanner program as administrator. so just guessing here, but you might try if deactivating uac solves the issue for you

Thanks for this. We run all our pcs with uac deactivated, but tried running the camera install and resulting software and the idpro software in Vista SP2 and XP SP3 compatibility mode and as admin but still does see a twain device

Hi hmikeh, If you only use a camera on Windows 7 except this Idpro software, is it be recognized? Based on this: www.payne-security.com/documents/cms/id_pro_7_business.pdf, this ID Pro software is not compatible with Windows 7. I recommend you contact the manufacture to find the solution or workaround.
