Windows 7 and network type
I have deployed Windows 7 across our School site and have hit a problem that is very strange.Using WDS and MDT 2010 we deploy a wim image no problem, The PC logs in fine and deployment is complete. When we reboot the machines we get the message 'No logon servers available'When we login locally and open network and sharing centre it now has two networks the domain one which shows as not connected and now a new one which it says it can't be identified. If we disable the NIC and reenable it it finds the domain network again lets you log off and back on with a domain account. Our network is all HP procurves with vlans and subnets per comms cabinet. Vista and XP works fine.

I suspect that this issue is caused by the network adapter driver. I suggest that you try to download the latest network adapter driver and install it. If the issue is resolved, you may modify the image to include the compatible driver and install it when it is deployed. Another possible cause is security programs. They may block the authentication when switches need to query information and determine the subnet for the computer. You may temporary disable or remove the anti-virus and firewall, then reboot and check the result.Arthur Xie - MSFT
