Windows 7 and a wireless domain
ok I have a question that I could really use some help on, We are running Windows 7 on just a hand full of laptops right not testing it out and there is one issue I can not figure out nor find a fix for on Goolge. I can not get the laptops to connect to the domain wirelessly. If I hard wire it I can change the domain and get it to connect but unplug the wire and it goes way! I can coneedt to the wireless access point an get internet but can not access things like company emails through Outlook I get an error say can not connect to he domain. Any ideas!! Robyn Robyn

Is the wireless network isolated (via firewall/ACLs) from the wired network? "Fear disturbs your concentration"

Hi, Can you access Internet or the Wireless Router Configuration page when using Wireless? Usually, the Wireless network is secured and you need type SSID and encryption key to access the Wireless network. If the issue persists after typing the correct password, I suggest you temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus program on the machine for a test. Thanks, Novak

Sorry this issue got put on the back burner for all this time but no with a Windows 7 Pro machine I can not access the domain at all. In fact I'm begining to beleive that there are other issuse because we are now useing several iPads in the office and can not access our work email while in the office connected to our wireless access point. I'm goiung to try another route on this issue thank you for your time.Robyn
