Windows 7 and Server 2008 AD dependencies
Is Server 2003 AD sufficient to control all Windows 7 policies (Local and Global)
Is there any reasons why AD 2008 needs to be there?
Also any ideas / best practice to put any local policy on image itself.

Hi,
As far as I know, there are many enhancements and changes in Windows Server 2008 from Windows Server 2003. The Group Policy settings in Windows 7 are added. You can download the “WindowsServer2003SP2GroupPolicySettings” and the “WindowsServer2008R2andWindows7GroupPolicySettings” from the following link to compare:

Of course, you can deploy Group Policy on image by either customizing the reference computer, then capturing the image or by writing scripts. You can refer to:
