Windows 7 and SBS 2003 profiles won't load
I have Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit). I have joined domain (SBS 2003). However, users with mandatory profiles can not log in. ErrorYou have been logged in with a temporary profile. You cannot access your files and files created in this profile will be deleted when you log off.BUT:The usercan access the default directory for saving and can save their documents to the server.Desktop shortcuts (part of profile) are not loading.Printers are non-existant.Internet works and other programs like Microsoft Office 2007 seem to work fine. How can I get these profiles to load properly? Also, these users also use XP Pro machines so the profile needs to load on both operating systems.

I suggest you open Event Viewer, then locate to the Application log. Check events which source is Microsoft-Windows-User Profiles Service. You may find some clues.Arthur Xie - MSFT

Make sure you have these updates installed. Note that some install on the server and some on the client.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926505http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=BFE775F9-5C34-44D0-8A94-44E47DB35ADD&displaylang=enKerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience
