Windows 7 and IE8 with X509EnrollmentWebClassFactory will not work with HTML frames
Hi all,We have a CA website but it has frames, in XP +IE and Vista + IE (all of IE8 were tested) it seems okay. but when Windows 7 is used, the Active X shows an error. When frames are not in used (forcibly), then the Active X component will work. Please see the link below for more details and the javascript used by me and others in the line of comments. I hope there is an option to tweak and allow this component to work in Windows7+IE with frames. How do we enable this ActiveX even with frames?http://blogs.msdn.com/alejacma/archive/2009/01/28/how-to-create-a-certificate-request-with-certenroll-javascript.aspx

Hi, Open Internet Explorer and try this: Tools > internet options > security > custom level... Find "Active Scripting" then check enable.
Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Hi, There is a fix for this already: CertEnroll control won't work when hosted inside a frame/iframe in IE8 (FIX) http://blogs.msdn.com/alejacma/archive/2010/05/25/certenroll-control-won-t-work-when-hosted-inside-a-frame-iframe-in-ie8-fix.aspx Regards, Alex
