Windows 7 and HP Multimedia keyboard Driver
Unable to run and install the hp multimedia keyboard Driver for windows Vista, I think that the app doesn't recognize Windows 7 as OS, but if I choose the drivers for Windows XP, the install goes fine without any problem, but the the display on screen doesn't work.I try to run the windows vista drivers in compatibilty mode for windows vista, and windows 7 does not let go the installation.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks,Don

These steps over at the HP forums appear to have worked for some users:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/board/message?board.id=OSandSW&message.id=2651Ned Pyle [MSFT] - MS Enterprise Platforms Support - Beta Team

I have a HP multimedia keyboard model 5189 urf. I downloaded SP 37489 from HP and it works great in win7 ultimate 64 bits. All the keys are programable. After you download it will reboot and youll find the icon you need in the "show hidden files" in the r/h trayHope this helps

Go to ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software10/COL23482/pv-60898-1/sp37489.exeafter you install the file and it reboots look for KMAESTRO.EXE.This is the application file that lets you program the keys.

HP don't seem to have released an update for this driver, but I've found that the XP driver works perfectly. Just make sure that if downloading from HP you select the XP os for you're machine. Hope this helps :)

I just installed the sp44447.exe driver from HP and it worked GREAT on my 5187URF2+ wireless HP Keyboard. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a new coreI7 HP Pavilion Elite. The keyboard HP provided for this computer was worthless (sticky keys), but this 'older' wireless works great now that I have the driver installed! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for pointing me to the right driver! John
