Windows 7 and Branch Cache - do i REALY need to upgrade everyone to WIN 7 Enterprise/?
I have ~30 users recently upgraded to Windows 7 Pro at their desktop. Now we want to enable the Branch Caching (BC). We have properly configured Hosted Branch Caching, but nothing happens. I now discovered that the workstations need Win 7 Enterprise (or Ultimate) to use Branch Caching (our servers are all 2008 R2 Enterprise0. Is there any workaround for this/? - the upgrade cost (to do it again is significant) Mike

Is there any workaround for this/? - the upgrade cost (to do it again is significant) No. With Windows 7 Enterprise, you can take advantage of the following features that are not available in Windows 7 Professional : BranchCache : Decrease the time branch office users spend waiting to download files across the network.
