Windows 7 and Bluetooth
I have Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and I'd like to find out how to set up a cell phone to connect, via Bluetooth, to my computer. I really don't know that much about Bluetooth and have never used it before, but I have seen the references to it in Windows 7 services and Task Scheduler. What I'm trying to do is sync a Tracfone LG420G phone to the PC so I can transfer files etc. I tried running some various software and connecting my phone through a data transfer cable, but the software did not recognize it. Windows did recognize it in "Device Manager" and "My Computer" but still I couldn't seem to do anything with it in that configuration. So I Googled quite a bit and found that some people have suggested that I try to connect to the phone this way, but my question is... do I need some Bluetooth USB adapter to be able to pick up the signal from the phone? I should also mention that other people who use Tracfone have said that they read that this phone just will not interface with any computer or software, however I don't know whether they have tried the Bluetooth route. One user said he was able to upload the Opera Mini-browser through Bluetooth to his Tracfone LG phone and successfully installed it. So I'm just looking for any help I can with this phone to try to get more functionality out of it. I would appreciate any advice you can give.
