I had a "non-legit" version on Win7 Ulimited that I upgraded from Win7 Home Premium. I restored my laptop back to Home Premium with the Win7 CD and after it was done restoring and all I downloaded AT&T Mcafee and did a scan while I was waiting on an update to finish I got a message from Mcafee saying I had a TROJAN that I needed to restart my PC so I kept hitting RESTART LATER and finally it started running really slow so I cut it off and back on, and when it come back on it went to the login screen and asked me for a USERNAME and PASSWORD, I hit SWITCH USER and there were 2 accounts "Administrator" and "Matthew" I clicked ADMIN and it said "This account has been disabled, Please conntact system administrator" so I logged onto the other account and it had to setup the account for the first time, I went to "Manage another Account" and there were no other accounts? My mom is telling me someone has maybe hacked my computer or maybe Ive got a virus. Anyone know what my problem is I have here? EDIT: Sorry for posting in the wrong category..

The administrator account is disabled by default when you install Windows 7. If the Matthew account is an administrator of the machine, you can enable the Administrator account. This snapin may not used with this version of Windows. To manage user accounts for this computer, use the User Accounts toll in the Control Panel." And by the way Im on a different computer, otherwise I would just take a screenshot of everything..

If the OS detects that an action needs administrator privileges, it will prompt you with a message stating that you do not currently have privileges to perform this action and then ask you if you want to elevate your privileges. Full admin is disabled by default in windows, I am not sure why administrator account showed up without you enabling it? You do have admin rights, windows is just telling you to elevate, just click on what your doing and it will go. There are things you will need to use the "run as aministrator' to utilize.

So far no problems, hope it stays that way.. Also I know this has nothing to do with any of this but.. I was running Windows Vista Basic and I deleted Windows and installed Ubuntu(Linux) and decided I didnt like it so I installed Windows 7 and before I took Ubuntu off I had 2.00GB of RAM and after installing Win7 I only have 1.00GB of RAM. Do you know what happen there.

It is possible that the memory sticks have come loose inside of the laptop and that is why only one of them is being registered.
