Windows 7 accessing Synology DS106e
Hello:I have a DS106e NAS and since my Windows 7 upgrade I can no longer mount the drives. This was working in Vista Ultimate SP1. I have already changed the security policy to negotiate NTLMV2 if requested but it has not worked. Another issue which can cause problems is Jumbo Packets which I also made sure are disabled. Does anyone have any suggestions here?Regards

This problem seems to have gone away. After the application of the Media Services patch and reboot it began to work. I put the Firewall back on and restored all firewall rules to normal and NTMLV2 only.

Hai Melvin,I had the same problem here too. After 4 days of searching I solved the problem. Please check if all of the services listed below are active. If not, put them to automatic and start them. (Most of them will already be running). COM+ Event System (for WZC issues) Computer Browser DHCP Client DNS ClientNetwork Connections Network Location Awareness Remote Procedure Call (RPC)Server TCP/IP Netbios helper Wireless Zero Configuration (XP wireless configurations) WLAN AutoConfig (Vista wireless configurations) Workstation After that you should be able to map drives using the Synogoly Assistant. :-)
