Windows 7 Wireless connections
As we move to Windows 7, one of the things that our security team would like to see is the users not having the ability to set their wireless connections to automatically connect. Does anyone know a way to (1) remove the "Connect Automatically" check box from from the wireless connections window and/or (2) Disable the "Connect automatically when this network is in range" checkbox on the Wireless network properties screen?? I would like to do this via a group policy for all of our Windows 7 machines but can only find vague references to making this change. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hi, Go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks (in the left pane) and right-click the one you want to change, then click Properties > Connection Tab. There are three fields that can be changed: Connect automatically when in range, Connect to a more preferred network and Connect even if the network is not broadcasting. Change them accordingly.
