Windows 7 Wireless Schema Extension (Win2003)
Hello.I'm in the process of gearing up to roll out Windows 7 in a couple of months. The backend servers are Windows 2003. We will be upgrading to Windows 2008 R2 after the first of the year.In the meantime, I need to create a new 802.11 wireless policy and when I select 'Create A New Wireless Network Policy for Windows Vista and Later Releases', I get the error 'The specified directyory service attribute does not exist' and I am asked to upgrade the schema. Likewise, I can't convert my existing policy (or a copy of it).In researching this, I found this page:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/network/bb727029.aspxIs that the one I need to use or is there an even newer schema update for Win7?Thanks!

How did you choose Create A New Wireless Network Policy for Windows Vista and Later Releases, in Windows Server 2003 or with the RSAT tool in Windows 7 client computers? This specified option is not present in Windows Server 2003. If you want to enable this function, you may need to upgrade the DC to Windows 2008 or later versions.Arthur Xie - MSFT
