Windows 7 Volume Control Freeze
If I try to adjust volume control by clicking on the volume button in the system tray whileplaying Flash games in Facebook, or watching Flash video, the volume control freezes and will not open again. Also, all applications using Flash stop working as well. This is probably related to Flash not being supported by a 64 bit system, however this problem occurs when I use IE8 32 bit. The way to fix it is to go to control panel and uninstall Flash and the Flash Plug In. Then, restart the computer and go to www.adobe.com and reinstall Flash. This is annoying and may not be fixed until Flash comes out with a 64 bit version, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this permanently? Laptop is a Dell Studio 1735 and this is the only problem I'm having.

Hi, Does the volume control from the Flash Player screen work? From the symptom, it is likely related to yoursound card driver. When did this issue first occur? If right after installing windows 7, suggest update your sound card driver. Also try right click the flash playing screen and choose Settings. Uncheck the Enable the hardware acceleration option to check it out.
