Windows 7 VPN Settings/Profile Export/Import
Good day, I am wondering if there were such a way to export, and import VPN settings or a profile in a Windows 7 x64 setting? Currently, we don't offer Windows 7 x64, or even x32 yet as a support OS for where I work; only Windows XP Pro x32, and usually we either have the Cisco Client preinstalled when we load new computers, or we have them go and download the client off our secure server. However, since it is a special version of VPN connection, we cannot just give out the shared password to everyone. As a support technician, even I do not have access to that information. So, my question to you is if this is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Since you would like to export and import configurations for Cisco VPN client, you may need to obtain related information from Cisco websites. Cisco VPN Client - Support - Cisco Systems Important Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. This contact information may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this third-party contact information. If there is any question I suggest you discuss in Cisco support community. Cisco Support Community Community VPN If you do not use Cisco VPN but just create the connection with the wizard in Windows system, you can simply copy the connection from the folder %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Network\Connections\PBK. We are also in a similar boat.We have created a MS L2TP/IPSEC Profile and want to know how to send it to users to use on thier x64 machines, without sending them the shared secret used to create the MS VPN ProfileIn Cisco VPN its easy, we can send them a .pcf file and the user has the VPN Profile on their PC to use with the Cisco Client.Appreciate any help

Did you ever get the answer to this one? I have the same problem. The thing is, the Nortel VPN client that is being distributed in our company has this bug fixed in a newer version (that I downloaded from the distributor site itself) and I want it installed in my machine instead. But the problem is, the Group password is not shared so as much as I want to manually create the profiles, I cant. I think I cannot wait for my company to start supporting and distributing the new version,as the bug is a showstopper to my work. (Hey maybe we even have the same company :) )
