Windows 7 Update Problem
Since the last automatic upgrade for Windows 7 my laptop does the usual thing on power down saying that it installing 4 upgrades. When I power on again, I get a message saying 'configuring windows - please wait'. So I wait and the normal desktop comes up. I use the machine as usual. Then when I power down I get a repeat message saying that 4 updates are being installed - and when I power on again i get the same configuration message and then the standard desktop. This is now a repeated situation. Has anyone seen this or got any thoughts. Any help appreciated.

I too have been having the same issue with my desktop. For the last week, each time I boot up I get the same message and then again when I shut down. What is going on?

This appears to a fault with a few new updates from windows. try going to control panel>view installed updates in safemode and uninstall any new updates. restart and check what updates are causing a problem for you. for me its KB2515325 & KB2522422. try avoiding these updates.
