I have been trying for quite a while now to get update KB2032276 installed and now update KB2286198 wont install either. The error code I get every time for both updates is 800736B3. Now I have looked at a multitude of forums describing this error in Vista, but not one in Windows 7. I did get the free upgrade from Vista, but have had no issue until recently. I have run Microsoft's Fix-it as recently as 2 hours prior to this post, as well as Symantec's online scanner to hopefully find a piece of malicious software preventing the installation. I have a self-built system running Windows 7 (updated fully save these 2 updates), Intel Core2 Duo E8200, 4GB RAM, Seagate SATA HDD.

Well I dont know if the tool fixed the problem but I do know that those 2 updates are no longer available via the Updater. In fact my Windows Update history tab shows only the last set of attempts on them and the hotfix.

FenixReign, What you can do to verify is this update is still nesseary. Is download the update from the Microsoft download center and run the update manualy. If the update is not nessarry anymore . The update will prompt that the update is already installed.
