Windows 7 Unidentified network issue
Okay, i have run out of ideas, Windows 7 Enterprise in a networked environment, turned off sleep mode, put static ip in place, installed latest driver from manufacturer, reset dhcp switch in registry, no antivirus installed, reinstalled win 7, is an INTEL 825xx L3 NIC, tried two different network drops as well as cables. Can someone help me with this, i have been through every entry google returns and it seems that a tremendous amount of different configs fix this problem. I have tried all of the ones i found does anyone have some new ones, besides re-installing XP. Thanks in advance

But though it is calling the LAN an "unidentified network", is anything actually not working? Our LAN has worked fine as an "unidentified network" under Vista and Windows 7. I know "unidentified network" sounds like an error message, but I don't think it is. You didn't mention anything that's actually not working. Hi, May I know if you can access any network resources? At this time, please also check the following: 1. Ensure your NIC driver and routers firmware are up-to-date. If you want, please also let us know the brand and model of the devices. 2. Please try the following method: Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or from certain non-Microsoft DHCP servers If the issue persists, please also run ipconfig /all in Windows 7 and paste the results to this thread.
