Windows 7 Ultimate x64 rtm file permissions
I've had the rtm installed for about a month and recently (as in the last week) I have started having problems. My first indication was when a Mozilla add-on stopped working and the re-install failed with what looked like an "access denied" failure.Today I installed Quickbooks Pro 2009 and when I started setting up a company I could not save the company file, getting an "access denied" on the Quickbooks data folder. Now it seems like my whole drive has been set to read-only. What is going on with security and permissions?

Can you install any other programs, such as Microsoft Officep properly? If so, this issue can be caused by the programs that are not compatible with UAC in Windows 7. To resolve this issue, please run the installation with high privilege. You can also set the installation and the programs run in Windows XP or Windows Vista compatible mode.Arthur Xie - MSFT
