Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - 2 networked HP Color Laserjet Printers Keep Showing Offline
Hi, I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and I have 2 network printers: HP Color Laserjet 3600n HP Color Laserjet 2550n I use to have Vista Ultimate x64 and BOTH of these printers worked FLAWLESSLY. However, I recently "upgraded" to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and now, both printers will randomly go offline and I cannot print anymore! The only resolution I've found is to remove the printers and re-add them but that is VERY INCONVENIENT to have to do that several times a day! The IP addresses of both printers remains the same after each time I remove and re-add the printers, so it's not like our Linksys router is randomly changing the IP addresses of both printers. Please advise.

That is because the printers are not compatible with Windows 7. But it says on HP's site that: 1 The Windows Vista Color LaserJet 3600 host-based driver (version 61.082.61.41) is the supported driver for Windows 7. The driver is currently available for download at the Download Drivers and Software page under the Color LaserJet 3600 Windows Vista link. So, what do we do now?

Hi, You may try the Windows Vista drivers. However, since they are not designed for Windows 7, some of the functions such as network printing may not work. Since this is completely a driver issue, we are not able to resolve it from system side. I suggest you contact HP support for more information.
