Windows 7 Ultimate (build 7600) offline files
I'm currently reviewing Windows 7 for a possible business upgrade and I am having endless trouble trying to get offline files to work. I've searched this forum (and others) and there appears to be lots of people with the same issue, but no solution. Basically I have offline files enabled from the Sync center, but when I right click a network share (or folder within a mapped drive) I don't even get the option to make available offline (I mean not listed, not that it is greyed out). When I use an XP or Vista PC offline files work fine. Anyone?

Hi andyclue, I have checked this by using the following steps: 1. Share a folder on Windows 2008 R2. 2. Access the folder on Windows 7 computer with offline files enabled in Sync Center. 3. Right click the folder and the option "Always available offline" is available and it is working fine. For the current issue, I suggest you go to services.msc and restart the offline files service and see the result.Sean Zhu - MSFT

Hi andyclue,This might not be the cause of your problem, but it's worth mentioning here because it *can* cause your problem. I have noticed that if one just right-clicks a network share, the Always Available Offline option doesn't appear. One needs first to *select* the share and then right-click it.
