Windows 7 Ultimate (64 Bit) Memory showing 3.26 GB (4GB Total)
Hi all, I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit RTM version. Config is Intel Original G35EC Board, C2D7200, 4GB Transcent RAM (2 X 2GB). When I installed only OS it properly shows 4 GB RAM. After installing all application, Office 2007, CCCleaner, NFS most wanted, RAM is shown as 4GB (3.26usable). Why RAM limit on 64 bit OS?Mukesh Sutar

Hi, Are you using an aditional Graphic Card? I guess it`s routed to the On-Board VGA of the G35EC Board which is working proberly after you installed the Motherboard Drivers. The On-Board VGA is using a Shared Memory from your installed RAM. So deactivating the On-Board VGA off your Motherboard should solve it. Dennis

Mukesh Sutar Hi MukeshPlease see the following article for a description of this issue. The system memory reported as (usable) in the System Information box in 64-bit Windows 7 may be less than the amount of installed RAM Hope this helps. Thanks Ronnie for sharing this. It worked, actually when I checked using msconfig, maximum RAM was selected as 0, after removing the tick mark and rebooting the machine, 4GB RAM is showing properly. Thanks once again. MukeshMukesh Sutar
