Windows 7 Ultimate: How do I set up a sync partnership with a folder on another computer on my home network
I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit on an eMachines T5212 with 1GB RAM and an Intel Pentium processor. The OS is running fine. I have the T5212 running through an Airlink 101 Wireless Router, but the computer is hardwired to the router. Also on the network, hardwired, is an HP with AMD Quad Core 64bit running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I want to sync the "pictures" library on both computers. I cannot find directions in he Help screens or online as to how to create a sync partnership with a folder on a network -- even though the Sync Center says this is possible. Searching through Bing only returns some questions related to Windows Vista, Windows Mobility, and PDA type devices.

Hi, If you want to sync the folders with Sync Center, you may make the folder offline first. I think if you would like to maintain the same copy of the pictures library on both computers, I think you can use RichCopy or Robocopy GUI. RichCopy Robocopy GUI You can share the pictures folder on both sides and then set the tool to copy the files from the updated folder to the other one. Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
